H.E. Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi (born in Unguja 23 December 1966) is the 8th president of Zanzibar. The son of former Tanzanian president Ali Hassan Mwinyi, he is a member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) political party.
